Maryland
Horse Council 2008 Horseman of the Year, Mark Harrison
passed away recently. Mark and his chestnut TWH Amanda
were always a favorite in the show ring and in the first
few years of the Maryland Horse EXPO. His stories of
training and serving in the real US Cavalry during World
War II would keep you captivated. Mark mentored many of us
as we entered the fun world of Tennessee Walking Horses
and was honored as Maryland Horseman of the Year. He and
Jan also helped the first group of Girl Scouts earn their
TWHBEA Scouting the Trail Patch at the Harford County Girl
Scout EXPO a number of years ago. Please keep his lovely
wife Jan and their family in your prayers. Mark will be
missed by so many. Rest in peace our dear old friend.
